This Privacy Policy describes how Smart Suite (the "Extensions") handles your information. Our primary goal is to provide a premium utility suite while collecting as little data as possible. We believe your productivity data should belong to you alone.
1. Data Collection & Local Storage
The Extension is built with a "Local First" philosophy. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal identification information (PII) to use our features.
- Task, Alarm & Playlist Data: All your reminders, alarm schedules, lists, task labels, and curated YouTube playlists are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (Chrome Storage API). This data is never transmitted to our servers.
- Personalization Settings: Your choice of themes, accent colors, and custom list icons are stored on your device.
- Custom Assets: If you use the Premium custom MP3 features, your audio files are stored locally within your Chrome profile.
2. Processing of Voice Data
TTS (Text-to-Speech) notifications are processed locally using your browser's native Synthesis API. We do not record, transmit, or store the text used for these voice alerts.
3. Third-Party Payments
We use Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record for Premium license processing. When you purchase a license:
- Your payment details are handled securely by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your credit card information.
- We receive only your email address to verify your access to Premium features.
4. Permissions Usage
The Extensions require specific permissions to function correctly across the suite:
- Alarms: To schedule background notifications for alarms and reminders.
- Storage: To save your tasks, playlists, and settings.
- Notifications: To display alerts when a reminder or alarm is triggered.
- Offscreen: Used solely to play notification sounds reliably in the background.
- Scripting/Host Permissions: Used by the YouTube Playlist Manager to inject functional buttons onto YouTube.com.
